The throat cancer survival rate is fortunately good especially
when compared to other cancers with higher levels of aggression.
The key to understanding why throat cancer prognosis is good, lies
in the fact that, it grows slowly and only metastizes very late
in it's process of development.
Throat cancer is sometimes referred to as vocal cord cancer or
oral cancer. Roughly 40,000 Americans are diagnosed with it every
year. The highest risk is mainly found to be in people who smoke.
Throat cancer prognosis with conventional medicine isn't
very good as it just seems to re-appear even after a successful
treatment with chemotherapy, surgery or radiation.
The chances of throat cancer survival are however high with alternative cancer treatments. Dr Walker describes how one German woman
had been advised by her surgeon to remove her entire larynx which
would have resulted in a complete loss of speech.
She in turn decided on an alternative cancer treatment and
lived for 30 years thereafter with no sign of cancer.

With chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, the throat cancer prognosis
is significantly lower than when the cancer is treated through alternative
treatments.
Let's look closely at some of the throat cancer survival statistics;
Stage 1 throat cancer survival rate and prognosis - the
5 year survival rate for throat cancer patients in stage 0 and stage
1 is pegged at around 80 to 95%. The prognosis seems to improve
with the use of surgery as opposed to the use of chemotherapy and
radiation in the treatment process.
At this stage, the tumor is 2cm or less with no metastasis.
There seems to be evidence to suggest that the 5 year survival
rate for stage 2 throat cancer is around 60 to 90% if treated
with radiotherapy. At this stage, the tumor is at around 2cm to
4cm with no evidence that the cancer has spread.
Stage 3 throat cancer survival rate - considering that
stage 3 is an advanced stage, it is understandable that the throat
cancer prognosis at this stage is poor. Infact, survival statistics
seem to indicate that the 5 year survival rate stands at a low 50
to 60%.
The tumor at this stage is 4cm or more and has spread to the
lymph nodes.
Stage 4 throat cancer survival rate - at stage 4, the
throat cancer rate of survival is pretty dismal. This is because the
tumor has already spread to distant tissue, the lymph nodes and
both sides of the neck.
The survival rate for stage 4 cancer is under 30%
It must be appreciated that, controlling stage 3 and stage 4
throat cancer with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery is difficult.
This is mainly because of the fact that, since the cancer has
started to spread, there is nothing in orthodox medicine that can
stop the spread of the cancer.
The only real option for surviving throat cancer at these stages
is to resort to a very strong alternative cancer treatment either
alone, or combined with any of the orthodox treatments.
